end of the year

Like all good things AP English must come to an end. Not only did i enjoy this class but I learn an unbelivable amout. I wish I could say im going to miss the essesive writting and blog posts but I'd be lying . What I am going to miss is Mr.Thomas and all his amazing lectures, the review game and the intense group projects. AP english prepared me for ap literature, college, and even life.

Through this experience I've learned different ways of writing and methods to organize my thoughts. The biggest challenge I had to over come was writing the timed essays. Time managing has always been something I struggle with. After numerous essays,
all the practices finally paid off as I can now distribute my time wisely. I will enter senior year confident and ready for AP literature.

Going back, my least favorite book was the one I choose to read for class. I choose it because it was short but ended up being the longest. "Travels with Charlie"  was a great book just not for me. My favorite was definitely "The Great Gatsby". I was so exited to hear that was the next book we we're studying. I got to reread it and that really helped understand the context better. It was interesting and I just loved the ending.

There is no easy essay. They all take deep thought but the one I struggled with the least is actually this one. Maybe because it's the end of the year or maybe it's because the topic was so simple. It's most probably just because I got so good.(not really) Either way one thing I'd like you too know is that I would have never improved without your help . You're certainly on my top 5 of best teachers. Being forced to improve my vocabulary for intensive writing  I spent some of my free time studying synonyms and terms which really influenced the way I talked.

Thanks to AP English I improved my vocabulary, something essential for applying for jobs or  college . I also improved as a student and will enter AP literature ready. But most importantly I hopefully got a college credit.I would have not gotten the same advantages in a regular English class. A combination of unique class mates, a challenging environment and a intellectual teacher is what made my English class experience unforgettable.
I am very grateful for the knowledge and will miss my class deeply.
